Week 7 "home town" in Corvallis, OR

 

The Memorial Union gets a bit of snow on the afternoon of February 27th 2023. The Memorial Union
 (MU) was built in 1928 and was dedicated as the first student union in the state. It also serves as a memorial to the students who gave their lives during World War I and the Spanish-American War. Currently it houses many programs and campus offices such as the MU Lanes & Games, ASOSU International Lounge, MU Creative Studio, and several restaurants including Java Stop and Off the Quad. 

Students get to enjoy the snow at the Student Legacy Park at Oregon State University by playing some soccer ball last Sunday. This park opened in 2011 right across from the Dixon Recreation Center. The park hosts three lit fields, a 1/3 mile track, a ten court tennis area, a basketball court, and a pavilion. The fields are used for many purposed such as recreation. sport clubs, and PAC classes.

Laura works her shift at the Java Stop II on OSU's campus. This is the second Java Stop location and is located on the lower floor in the Valley Library. It is open till 10:00 pm most nights including on a Sunday! Java II serves Portland Coffee Roasters and Choice Teas, with a variety of snacks and grab and go food options. It is great for study sessions and breaks while in the library.
