Roast Runners

For the last three years, Roast Runners at Linn-Benton Community College has been closed. But now, for the 22-23 school year they have opened back up and are excited to server the community. It's a great place to study, hang out, and grab your favorite drink. This is also a great place to have club meetings. They have great size of drink selections from house coffee, to macchiatos to iced flavored redbulls and much more. The atmosphere of this coffee shop is "Friendly, chill, welcoming, and down to Earth"- Jonah Wasmer, (manager of Roast Runners). Roast Runners not only supplies great coffee and prices for students, but also offers employment for students who qualify for work study.

I got to interview two employees; Jonah Wasmer and Rino Tanahara. Jonah Wasmer is the manager of Roast Runners since this last January. They are hoping to get into the diagnostic medical program and has a plan after college to be a RN (Registered Nurse) or an X-Ray technician. One thing he says about Roast Runners is to "Come by, chat, and study". Rino Tanahara is an international student from Japan. She started working at Roast Runners this last September when the business opened back up. She is majoring in business and wants to learn more English. For the upcoming term she is taking 16 credits and is going to continue to work as well. Her favorite drink to recommend to people is an iced white chocolate mocha. She enjoys working here because the customers are always so nice.
